NEW YORK CITY!!!! :D
So i had the crazy idea to just hop on a plane and head up north.
i've always wanted to go to the city that never sleeps during the holiday's
to see the twinkly lights and all the pretty things a city has to offer.
lucky for me, I have an amazing man that
will take my crazy ideas and run with them.
we started looking into the flights and hotels the beginning of November
and found out that we could go for pretty cheap.
so NYC here we come!
We made it to our Abq flight with 10 minutes until boarding due to awful weather getting there.
Just to find out that we had mechanical problems and making us miss our connecting flight in Denver...
WHICH WE WATCHED LEAVE THE AIRPORT!!! freaking United...
The first day in NYC... B&H and Build-a-Bear!!
Dallas said he's always wanted to see the movable windows. Bucketlist.. CHECK!!
TIMES SQUARE!!!
We passed this group of people just standing in the middle of the street looking up...
because we were on screen!! Can you find us?
Disney store!!
muhahah!!!
After we walked around the square, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for Phantom of the Opera.
The only thing we didn't take into account on our way to the theater was the weather... Dallas and I both got dressed up and starting walking the 20 blocks to the theater only to be hit by rain the whole way there. Once we got there, both of us were soaked and cold. The seats were not made for tall people and Dallas didn't take his meds before we got there so we was in pain the whole show. I did what I could to help him stretch his leg out but after walking all day, it didn't really help.
The production was pretty good for being the longist running show on Broadway, but the phantom was not having that great of night. He completely flubbed the first iconic high note in his solo. Dallas and I just kinda looked at each other like this dude is supposed to be the best phantom they've ever had. Yikes!
After the show, at 11:30 pm, we headed down the steet to Sardi's. The food was AH-MAZING. Totally out of my comfort zone though. The waiters were all dressed up in suits and it looked like something out of a movie. The walls were covered with drawings of famous people and broadway stars.
Day 2-4 are on the way. Check them out! :D
