This weekend was one for the books. If you follow me on Social media, y’all know I’m a huge fan of Dancing with The Stars. And if you don’t follow me... Then you can read about my adventure about being there for a taping HERE. (And subscribe for more updates!)
Anyways, this last season Julianne and Derek Hough announced they were doing another Move Live on Tour this summer so of course my mom booked us tickets because we loved the first one so much! You can read about that HERE.
This time we decided to see them in Midland since it’s a tad bit closer then Phoenix. We all had to be split up because the theater there wouldn’t allow for five tickets to be bought. So my mom and bro sat together, Dallas and I sat together, and my dad sat by himself a little further back in the section. (But he made some friends around him) :)
So we get there and have bought our merch, waiting for the lights to dim. I’m excited for the show. Dallas is excited to see the lighting. Typical, right? The lights go down and the music starts with everyone starting to scream. Let the excitement begin!
MOVE LIVE ON TOUR!!!! :D
This was probably my favorite dance!
Close up!
In my previous blog about the first show, Ryan was one of the guys to be picked to go on stage and dance. Well once again, he got picked to go up again with determination and persistence. Julianne and the ladies headed down into the audience to get the men and although Ryan was in the middle of the section and the guys had already been picked he kept standing. She felt bad for him to not be picked, so she told him to come on up to the stage. With a hurt ankle and the chance to possibly dance with her again, he made his way up to the stage. Needless to say, he didn’t get to dance with her and some other guy pretty much schooled all the other men up there, he did get a selfie with the girl he danced with and got to say, yet again, that he got to be up on stage with Julianne Hough.
The show was great! They had Latin dances and contemporary. Waltzes and even a tap dance.
Now for the best part of the show! After the ladies did their dance with the selected men, it was Derek’s turn to come out and dance with ladies in the audience. He came out and started singing then made his way off the stage. The first girl he danced with in the aisle was about two seats away from my dad, and after the show, my dad told me that he was going to tease me that he was so close to the lucky lady he danced with. After that dance, he made his way around the back part of the section and found an older lady to dance with. She was in so much shock that she could barely keep her feet under her. It was so adorable. He danced with her for a little bit and that’s when I stood up to see what was going on. Dallas was like, “You want me to take your camera in case he picks you.” I was like nah, he’ll go right past me. But he took it so I could just enjoy watching. After Derek danced with the older lady he started making his way down our aisle. I was like oh my gosh oh my gosh. Then he made eye contact with me and started to reach for my hand like we were gonna dance and then smiled and headed back onto stage. Soooooo defeated!!! Dallas was just laughing at me! BUT!!! Derek sang another verse then came back into the audience and headed straight for me, grabbed my hand, then said come on! We ran onto stage, told me to keep my head down and no matter, don’t move. So I’m standing there with my hair around my face not knowing what was going on, then I feel him jump over top of me! I looked up and next thing I know he’s picking me up and spinning around. He put me down and we took a bow. He took me back off the stage and I did a little happy dance heading back to my seat. Dallas was laughing and I was shaking. He said everyone around him was just like “yep, you’ve lost her to him now.” Haha!! And the funniest part of that whole thing was that I told Dallas before we left Roswell that morning, “don’t be jealous now if Derek Hough pulls me on stage with him!” Good luck I guess!
